I finally got the Father’s Day pictures I took of Ella and Mathieu off of Grandma Edie’s camera! Mathieu is truly the greatest father. He has so much fun with Ella, and she gets so excited every time she sees him. They have a special bond. There is no one in the world that can make Ella laugh as hard as Mathieu can! He is so gentle and kind, and very patient with Ella. My feelings are indescribable as I watch my sweetheart sing Primary songs and read stories to our little girl. Cheers to the best Daddy in the entire universe!
Yesterday Ella turned 9 months!! It’s so hard to believe. She is crawling all over the place and gets into EVERYTHING. She talks constantly, but of course we can’t quite understand her yet! Each day she discovers new things around Grandma Edie’s house…much to my dismay! Ella is proving to be a very curious little peanut. We love her to death, and are so excited to be her Mama and Dada.
FINALLY! I found our camera. It was exactly where I put it for safe keeping…
Ella is really giving me a run for my money these days! She’s crawling like crazy and is very…what’s the word…CURIOUS about everything. Truly, nothing is safe! I thought we were through the whole waking-up-to-eat-in-the-middle-of-the-night thing, BUT Ella surprised me last night with not one, not two, but THREE feedings during the night, and let me assure you that they were REAL feedings. It was crazy. She has been doing a fantastic job sleeping in her crib over the last few days. After hearing that one of the girls we grew up with is STILL struggling with her 8 year old sleeping in his own bed, I decided that NOW is the time to train my child! I say Ella’s doing a great job, even though she’s presently staring at me through her crib slats, crying, while I blog…at 10:56pm, mind you! Bless her heart. I’m putting my money on her collapsing from tiredness within the next few minutes.
A couple weeks ago we had 2 of our good family friends come over for Family Home Evening. It was a BLAST! We sang songs, had a lesson, played games outside, and of COURSE had a treat.
Summer LOVES to hold Ella. Ella was okay with that for THIS picture...
But NOT this picture! Poor Summer-she just loves to hold babies. Ava Jane is also in this picture.
Bowe getting comfy on Grandpa Gerry's chair.

Playing Toilet Tag
Summer had just finished showing me her Tigger Dance.
Some nights Ella just won’t go to sleep when we want her to. This was the case a couple of weeks ago. The thing that stinks is that she’s SO fun and cute during these sleepless nights! It’s near impossible to get upset.
This picture was taken before Ella learned to crawl very well. She had pushed herself backwards, and ended up halfway under the bed.
This picture was taken tonight after we had tried to put Ella to bed for about an hour. Mathieu took her out of the crib and let her play for a little bit, hence, the messy hair, drool on chin, and the crusty food stuck to her nose...oh wait-that was from earlier in the evening...
